MY Story

My life as a songwriter began in 2011.  As a performer and interpreter for most of my life, this new venture of creating my own music is very exciting.  My songs were performed in public for the first time on July 12, 2014 in Albany, New York with vocalist, Kara Cornell and pianist, Michael Clement in a concert of American songwriters.

Josh’s song, Czeck-Out Blues, was a finalist in the 2020 The Great American Song Contest!

A graduate of the Juilliard School, Josh has been a professional violinist for many years.  He has performed as a soloist and chamber musician in many different countries.  In 2012, Josh commissioned the composer Evan Mack to write a sonata for violin and piano which they premiered at Skidmore College, March 7, 2013. 

 Josh maintains a busy schedule teaching and performing. 

Josh can be seen as the concertmaster of the 1882 Academy of Music Orchestra in  HBO’s new television series, ‘The Gilded Age’, season 1 episode 4, filmed in the Troy Savings Bank Music Hall, in Troy NY In May, 2021.

Although a classically trained violinist, Josh has performed with many pop artists over the years.  Marvin Gaye, Tony Bennett, Tom Jones,  Josh Groban to name a few.
